Wavelogix
Wavelogix is a technology company transforming the way concrete strength is measured and monitored. Founded from research conducted at Purdue University in partnership with the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT), Wavelogix developed the REBEL® Concrete Strength Sensing System to provide real-time, in-place concrete strength and temperature data. Our technology helps concrete producers and construction teams make faster, more informed decisions while improving quality, efficiency, and project schedules.
Products & services
Wavelogix offers the REBEL® Concrete Strength and Temperature Sensing System, a non-destructive, real-time solution for monitoring concrete as it cures. The system combines embedded sensors, reusable data loggers, and a cloud-based dashboard to provide continuous access to concrete strength and temperature data. REBEL® is designed to reduce reliance on traditional cylinder break testing and maturity-curve calibration, providing actionable data that can help teams optimize form removal, production cycles, scheduling, and other critical construction decisions. The system is AASHTO T 412-24 compliant and is suitable for a wide range of concrete applications, including precast and prestressed concrete.
How Wavelogix supports precast
Wavelogix supports the precast industry by providing producers with real-time visibility into concrete strength development. REBEL® can help precast manufacturers make more confident decisions about stripping forms, handling and moving products, optimizing production cycles, and managing curing processes. By providing continuous, in-place strength data rather than relying solely on periodic testing, Wavelogix helps producers identify opportunities to reduce unnecessary waiting time, improve quality control, and optimize the use of labor and materials. Ultimately, our goal is to help precast manufacturers produce high-quality products more efficiently and with greater confidence.
Milestones
Developed the REBEL® Concrete Strength Sensing System through research originating at Purdue University in partnership with INDOT. Achieved AASHTO T 412-24 compliance, establishing REBEL® as a standards-compliant technology for real-time, non-destructive concrete strength measurement. Iowa DOT updated Materials I.M. 383 in April 2026 to recognize acoustical resonance under AASHTO T 412 as an approved method for estimating in-place concrete strength, making Iowa the first state to formally approve the technology for concrete strength certification and opening and payment decisions on DOT projects. Expanded REBEL® applications across transportation infrastructure, precast and prestressed concrete, commercial construction, and other concrete applications. Deployed REBEL® sensors across 32 state DOTs and more than 60 field projects, including highways, bridges, and pavement repairs. Named an ASCE Infrastructure Gamechanger, recognized as one of TIME’s Best Inventions of 2023, and received a 2024 Edison Gold Award.

Why Wavelogix joined PCI IW
“We joined PCI IW because we believe technology and innovation can play an important role in advancing the precast industry. PCI IW provides an opportunity to connect directly with precast producers, engineers, and other industry professionals who are focused on improving quality, efficiency, and productivity. We also see PCI IW as an important platform for education and collaboration. By working alongside industry leaders, we can better understand the challenges facing precast producers and demonstrate how real-time concrete strength data can help address those challenges.”
